Patricia A Mitchell

Patricia Ann (Lupa) Mitchell of Ocala, FL, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 16, 2026 after a five month brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born November 7, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Leonard and Esther (Manzer) Lupa. In 1951, the family, including Patricia and her two younger sisters, Joyce (Lupa) Bowden and Barbara (Lupa) Gross moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Patricia attended Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and graduated in 1962. She worked in the banking business both in Fort Lauderdale and in Ocala, Florida, for over 20 years. After she left banking in 2000, she joined Roberts Funeral Home and volunteered in many areas, such as greeting families, driving and escorting the families to service sites, working in the office, etc. Her duties were varied and many. She retired from Roberts in 2024. When not working she enjoyed sewing, gardening, wallpapering, helping widows with home care, paper work and organizing, as well traveling to see friends , cruising and vacationing in Murphy, North Carolina, with family. She accepted Christ as her Savior on Easter Sunday 1998 at Church at The Springs in Ocala, Florida, where she was a member. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, younger sister, Barbara Gross, former husband Jim Mitchell, and fiance William "Bill" Love. Patricia is survived by her sister Joyce (Lynn David) Bowden, nieces and nephews: Gary (Shawna) Bowden and their daughter Sarah of Ocala, FL, Christopher Gross, Phillip (Carson) Gross, Sr., of Leesville/Batesburg, SC, Abigail Gross of Asheville, NC, her best friend Rose (Ray) Mayer, and like a daughter Dian Love (Charlie) Govemali, and many cousins, devoted friends and church family. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 with visitation at 10AM followed by service at 11AM at the Roberts Funeral Home East Chapel. Her family Thanks and is Grateful for every one of her family, friends and neighbors who texted, called, visited, help care for her and prayed for her during this difficult time.
