Gregory Lee Fox

Gregory Lee Fox, age 76 of Silver Springs, Florida passed away and entered into Glory on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born on Thursday, May 20, 1948 in Amherstdale, West Virginia to William H. "Bill" and Stella B. (Spears) Fox. Greg was a 1966 graduate of Man High School and went on to earn his Associates Degree from Ohio University. He worked as an Engineering Technician for RCA for thirty four years. He retired from State of Ohio jobs and family services as a veterans representative. He enjoyed many hobbies, studying his Bible, preaching God's word, woodworking, singing, playing his guitar, enjoying his grandchildren and he loved learning as much as he could. He had many talents. He served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division and served in Vietnam from 1968-69. He received a Bronze Star, Sharp Shooting metals along with many other awards. Greg served as a Sunday school and youth leader, Deacon and Elder at Logan Elm Baptist Church until he and Lois moved to Florida where he then served as a teacher and Elder at the Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church. His is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois Ann (Bowens) Fox, his son, William A. "Tony" (Amanda) Fox of Williamsport, Ohio; his daughter, Stacy (Doug) Horne of Chillicothe, Ohio; grandsons, Michael (Leah) Fox of Williamsport, Christian Romine of Silver Springs, Gabriel Romine of Magnolia, Mississippi, Joshua Romine of Chillicothe, Seth Romine of Chillicothe, a granddaughter, Christina (Cameron) Moccabee of Williamsport. Two great-granddaughters, Legacy Romine of Lancaster, Ohio and Stella Fox of Williamsport, as well as a sister, Pamela (Terry) Jude of Amherstdale, West Virginia and several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Fox, mother, Stella Fox and a brother, Rick Fox. Visitation will be held at Roberts of Ocala Funeral Home, 606 SW 2nd Avenue Ocala on July 16th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jared Bushanan of the Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow.
