Anne Healy

Ocala - Anne Cusic Healy, 100, passed away September 11, 2014 peacefully at her home with her two beloved sons Chris and Jerry at her bedside. She went to be with Our Lord in everlasting Peace, Joy and Happiness in the most beautiful way. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio in September 1914 to immigrant parents Michael and Anna Cusic and after attending business school traveled to Washington, D.C to be employed for a lifetime with the Federal Government. She was a lifetime member of NARFE (National Association for Retired Federal Employees) as well as the Zumberjak Lodge, a Croation Fraternal organization. She met and married Daniel Patrick Healy and eventually they and their two sons Christopher and Jerome migrated from Cleavland, OH to Fort Lauderdale, Florida about 1949, where she lived until 1987 and then moving to Ocala to be nearer to her sons and grandchildren and retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents and Mary Alexander (sister) Michael Cusic (brother) John Cusic (brother) Helen Cusic (sister) and husband Daniel P. Healy. Survivors include her sons Christopher and Jerome and his wife Sheryl, Joyce Alexander (niece) Ronald Alexander (nephew) grandchildren: Marci Yancey and her husband Jimmy, Dr. Kelly Anne Healy, Christopher James (C.J.) Healy and his wife Christina, Mandy Anne Lord and her husband Chris, great-grandchildren: Raegan Elizabeth Yancey, Jack Edward Lord. She was a devout Roman Catholic and lived her life by Christian principles of loving and caring for others and enjoyed the mass on a daily basis. Her greatest love in her long and joyous life was for her family and her faith and love for Jesus Christ, the Catholic mass and choir music. Anne enjoyed baking, cooking, clipping coupons, flowers, Little League baseball games, a ride in the country, a good movie every now and then, and of course a good 'snack' or cup of coffee. Special Thanks to Father Patrick Sheedy, Blessed Trinity Church, Dr. Nina Hare her personal physician for many years as well as the wonderful staff at Hospice of Marion County: Gloria White CNA, Sharron Duncan RN, Beverly Hayhurst RN, Janice Smith RN, Dr. Mery Lossada, Dr. Elliott Ross, Al Thomas MSW as well as 'Carrie' her personal caregiver, friends and neighbors who have been with us over the years and brought much comfort and Joy to our mother. Visitation will be Friday evening September 19th at 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Roberts Downtown Chapel at 606 SW 2nd Avenue (352) 622-4141 and a memorial mass will be heard the following morning, Saturday, September 20th, at 9:30 AM at Blessed Trinity Church, 5 SW 17th St. (352) 622-1297.
