Philip Williamson

June 25, 1954 - April 22, 2022

Philip D Williamson, 67 of Ocala, FL formerly of Grand Rapids, MI passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 22, 2022. He was born on June 25, 1954 to Dr. Douglas H. and Doris M. Williamson of Grand Rapids. Philip graduated from Ottawa Hills High School, Grand Rapids Junior College and University of Michigan. He served his country as a Battlefield Support Engineering Officer in the US Army and the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas, his mother Doris and his brothers, Glen, Raymond and Scott. Surviving are his brother Steven (Andrea) of Seffner, FL; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Phil loved to golf and was an avid enthusiast of battlefield history visiting numerous sites in the US and abroad with his friend Don Baumgartner. He will be truly missed by those who loved him. Philip will be interred with Military Honors at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A Celebration of Life for Philip will be held in Grand Rapids at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to your local Veterans Organization.
