Dr. William David Wallace

Dr. William David Wallace, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, pastor, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, in Belleview, Florida. Born on January 26, 1963, in Paducah, Kentucky, David dedicated his life to serving the Lord and ministering to those around him. His unwavering faith and compassion touched countless lives throughout his journey. He is preceded in death by his mother Patricia Wallace and father Perry Wallace. David is survived by his wife, four children, son-in-law, granddaughter, and two sisters. David Wallace was a loving husband to Stephanie Wallace for over three decades. Together they raised their four children: Tricia Wallace, Susan Wallace Dage, Will Wallace, and John-Mark Wallace with deep-rooted values grounded in compassion and faith. As a proud father-in-law to Tannar Dage and as "Poppi” to granddaughter Isabelle Dage, he embraced every role with warmth and enthusiasm. He cherished every moment spent with his family and instilled in them the values of love, kindness, and service. His home was always filled with laughter as he shared stories from his life or engaged in spirited discussions about faith. His sisters Debbie Wallace and Perri Wallace Douris were not only siblings but also lifelong friends who shared laughter and memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. The bond they formed over the years served as a source of strength throughout their lives. As a pastor for many years, David Wallace dedicated himself to spreading the gospel message of hope and love that he found in Christ. His congregation at Anthony Baptist Church will remember him not only for his powerful sermons but also for his genuine care for each individual he encountered. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He believed that everyone deserved love and understanding; this belief guided him as he offered support during difficult times or celebrated joyous occasions alongside his congregation. David’s legacy extends beyond just words spoken from the pulpit; it is woven into the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He took time out of each day to reach out personally to individuals needing encouragement or assistance. Whether it was visiting someone in need or simply lending an ear when needed most; he embodied what it meant to be Christ-like by showing genuine care for others’ well-being. A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church Ocala on Saturday evening January 18th at 6:30 PM where family members invite all who knew and loved David to come together in honor of this remarkable man’s life. Though we mourn the loss of such an incredible soul today, we find solace knowing that heaven has gained another angel watching over us until we meet again one day!
