William Roosevelt Leno, affectionately known as "Junior," was a gentle and friendly soul who left this world on July 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on June 27, 1961, in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Junior was a man whose soft-spoken nature and laid-back attitude made him a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him. Junior's journey through life was marked by his humble beginnings and the simple pleasures he found in everyday experiences. Despite not completing high school, he displayed an admirable work ethic throughout his life. His hands were his tools, and with them, he built a legacy of hard work and dedication through his career as a laborer in construction and warehouse work. Junior was devoted to his family, particularly his Mother, Elaine Leno, with whom he spoke daily. She now carries on his memory. Leno, Omi Chase, Isaiah Rock; Siblings, Sharon Frazier (Gregory), Tangela Leno- Clark, Cynthia Hunter (Joseph), Richard Tucker Jr. (Ebony), Anna Tucker (Louis), Shonda Bloom-Chisolm (Corey), Darlene Leno, Crystal Leno, Valerie Leno; Aunties, Mary Kate Kemp, Steven David Leno, Rosemary Leno, Kristine Jones, Johnny Leno; Uncles, Charles Leno, Jessie James Leno; God brother, Curtis Hardy and many cousins and friends. Preceded in death by Father, William Leno Sr.; Grandmothers, Ruther Mae Wooten Willie Cherry Leno; Grandfathers, Blondell Coffee, Jessie Leno; Aunties, Lorraine Reddick, Annie Pearl Wilson. A devout Christian, Junior's faith was a quiet but steady force that guided him through the trials and triumphs of life. He carried his beliefs in his heart, living by example rather than preaching, and in doing so, he touched the lives of many. Music was one of Junior's greatest joys. He loved all kinds of melodies, rhythms, and harmonies, finding solace and happiness in the notes that filled the air around him. An avid TV watcher, he could often be found with his eyes fixed on the screen, lost in the stories and characters that brought him so much entertainment. His love for snacks was well-known, and there was always a sense of comfort and contentment in sharing a treat with him during these moments of leisure. Junior had a particular fondness for baseball caps, a collection that was as varied as his taste in music. Each cap had a story, a memory linked to a place or a specific time of his life. His easygoing nature made him approachable, and his humility kept him grounded. He was the kind of person you could talk to about anything, and he would listen with genuine interest and care. Above all, Junior's love for his mother was profound. He was a testament to the enduring bond between a mother and her son, and his devotion to her was evident in his every action and word.
