Terry Lil Pritchett

Terry Lil Pritchett, 78, passed peacefully on May 24, surrounded by her family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Terry will be remembered for her immense kindness, joy, and willingness to help those in need. Born on January 7, 1947, in Marietta, Ohio, Terry grew up the daughter of John and Patricia Scharf and sister to Jim, Steve, Becky, Jane and Andy. The family moved to a farmhouse outside of Pittsburgh, PA, where she took care of her siblings, acquired a knowledge of antiques and enjoyed being a member of the Richland High School chorus. Always knowing that she wanted to do, Terry graduated with her nursing degree in 1968. Her position as a well-regarded, registered nurse offered the opportunity to build the life she wanted and advance throughout her career. Even at home, she was the first call family & friends would make if someone needed care. In 1984, Terry married her love, Edward Pritchett, and settled down in Ocala, FL. They raised two children, Andy & Becky, and shared an adventure that lasted over 40 years. Their journey included summer vacations in the Florida Keyes and Daytona Beach. Family trips were made to Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Louisiana, as were cruises to the Caribbean & Alaska alongside lifelong friends. Hosting the Corvette Club Christmas party was always a highlight, as were sunny days boating on the lake. They both retired in St. Augustine, FL, where they continued to enjoy life and combing the beach for treasure with their four granddaughters. Terry is survived by her husband, Edward, son & daughter-in-law, Andrew and Shanda Nikolajski, and daughter & son-in-law, Rebecca and Larry Orrel, as well as her pride and joy - granddaughters - Ella, Aria, Augustine, and Avelina. Preceded in death by her beloved parents and brother Jim, she remained a loving aunt, niece, cousin and a devoted sister to Linda, Steve & Bobette, Becky & Ken, Jane, Andy & Cindy, and John & Peggy. Please remember her laughter, hugs and love of the sweeter things in life. Most of all, find the bright side, as she so often did. A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, June 21 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm at Roberts of Ocala East Chapel, 2739 SE Maricamp Rd., Ocala, FL 34471.
