Philip W Sailsman

Philip W. Sailsman, (aka Phil), was born on January 26, 1953, in London, England to Oswald and Amy Sailsman. In the mid-1960's, the family relocated from England to Harbour View, Jamaica, near the beach. Phil attended and received his high school diploma from the distinguished Wolmer's Boys School in Kingston Jamaica. In the Summer of 1977, Phil moved to The United States and resided in White Plains, NY, in Westchester County, to further his education. While living in White Plains, Phil attended Westchester Community College, where he studied and obtained a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Shortly after, Phil joined the Army, where he proudly served as a Medic for eight years. After some time, Phil wanted to further his education. Therefore, he enrolled in Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy. Overall, Phil had 43+ years of experience working in the medical field in some capacity. Notably, at Clarksville Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, TN. Prior to moving to Florida, Phil also worked at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains, NY. Phil's last ongoing years in the field was at West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Florida. Phil retired from West Marion Hospital after being a valued employee there for 20 years as a Respiratory Therapist. During his tenure at West Marion Hospital, Phil formed and maintained many meaningful relationships, which is where he met his wife, Sandra. On September 29, 2018, Phil and Sandra were married in Ocala, Fl in a beautiful wedding ceremony, surrounded by many family members, friends, and colleagues. During their many years of courtship, dating, and marriage, Phil and Sandra enjoyed traveling (they LOVED cruises!), listening to music , exploring different restaurants and cuisines, and spending time with loved ones. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, his Aunt Ruby, and his sister, Lorraine. Phil is survived by: Loving wife, Sandra Children: Tiffany, Pierre, Latasha, Peter, and Tylah Grandchildren, Jamahl, Antonio, Elijah, and Sevinn Siblings: Michelle (Roger Sr), Colin (Sharon), and Selena; Sister-in-Laws: Rose (Errol); Elaine (Leroy) Nieces & Nephews; Kasheema, Tarah, Nathaniel, Andre, Corey, Isaac, Roger Jr. and Cheryl;
