Michelle Kis was born on April 21, 1957, and she passed away on January 16, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. Michelle lived her life with a joyful spirit and a heart anchored in Christian faith. She was the kind of woman who did not merely enter a room, but blessed it with warmth, humor, and a presence that made people feel at ease. Those qualities were not just words used to describe her. They were the way she moved through the world, loving God, loving people, and finding reasons to smile even when life tried to be serious. Her life was shaped by service, skill, and a deep care for others. Michelle worked as a cook and as a massage therapist, two callings that reflected both her hands and her heart. In the kitchen, she knew how to nourish people with food made with care, seasoning, and love. In her work as a massage therapist, she offered comfort, relief, and peace to those who needed healing and rest. Michelle pursued her education through the American Culinary Apprenticeship Program at Daytona Beach Community College in the late 1980s. That training helped shape her skills and supported the path she followed in her work as a cook. Michelle is lovingly remembered by Jane Sparks, her dear friend, and by all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. The bond of friendship is one of God’s beautiful gifts, and Michelle treasured that gift with sincerity and affection. She was the type of friend who showed up with a smile, and a sincere heart, ready to encourage and uplift. Her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew her, not as a fading echo, but as a living reminder of what it means to love well, laugh often, and trust God fully. Michelle Kis will be remembered with love, gratitude, and a smile, just as she would have wanted.
