Mary Lucille "Lucy" Tucker of Ft. McCoy, FL.Sunrise: October 7, 1940Sunset: October 13, 2020Lucille was born the youngest of three children on a small farm near Highland City, FL,. She graduated from Jacksonville Technical High School in 1958. Lucille held a myriad of jobs, including work in the insurance and secretarial fields and as a tax preparer for H&R Block, as well as second and third jobs such as bartending at the White Elephant in Keystone Heights, FL., all while raising her three children on her own. Lucille began going to night school and eventually earned in AA degree from Santa Fe Community college before finally earning a BS degree from the College of Occupational Therapy at the University of Florida. Lucille began her career at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. and worked for numerous health care providers both at hospitals and in home health as well as travelling to work with public school systems providing OT services to students towards the end of her career. In retirement Lucille loved to travel and spend time with family, especially the annual camping trips on her birthday.Lucille is preceded in death by her husband Don A.R. Tucker, parents James C. McMillion and Mary Lucille Altman Gill, brothers James L. McMillion and Donald R. McMillian, and her daughter Cheryl R. Albury, Lucille is survived by her daughter, Tami D. Crosby (Russel) of Ft. McCoy, her son Kevin Butler (Christine) of Harahan, LA., son in law Mark Albury, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, cousin Margie White (David), as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends, among them; Yvonne, Linda, and Ruben.Lucille was a member of AOTA, and lifetime Auxiliary member of the VFW (Post 424) and the American Legion (Post 111)Services will be held at Robert's Funeral Home, Bruce Chapel West, 6241 SW State Road 200, Ocala, FL. on Thursday 10/22/20 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Friday 10/23/20 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM with graveside services to follow at Florida national Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting small potted plants or seeds for a memorial garden.
