Lizzetta Boyd Williams

Lizzetta Boyd Williams, affectionately known as "Etta" to her friends, "Granny Jack" to her grandkids, and "Punkin" to her great grands, was born in Lake Lady, Florida, the twelfth child of fourteen children, to the late John Henry Boyd, Sr. and Cora Lee Boyd on December 15, 1935. Lizzetta was educated in the local schools of Lake County in Florida. Lizzetta was employed by the Marion County School System as a custodian for twenty years, until her retirement in 1995. Lizzetta dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, in Lady Lake, FL. She later moved to Weirsdale, FL where she continued her Christian discipleship at Stanton First Baptist Church. Later, she became a member of No-Limits International Church, Ocala, FL under the leadership of her son, Bishop Willie Jackson, and the late Pastor Tina Jackson. In her later years, Lizzetta relocated to Ocala Shores and became a beloved member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Chandler, FL (Ocala) under the leadership of Pastor Mike E. Davis, Sr. and remained a faithful member and attended regularly until sickness restricted her from attending. She remained a beloved member until her recent passing. Lizzetta loved the Lord, and she lived her life accordingly. Her favorite saying was, "All my strength comes from the Lord and He'll make a way." Lizzetta was a loving quiet person. Very few people process the gentle, kind, unselfish, giving heart that she had. She was always considerate and giving of her time and herself to her family and friends. She was a great mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grands and great grands. Lizzetta was truly loved, admired and respected by her family and friends. Her brothers were always very supportive and protective of their baby sister, especially her brother Aaron, they all loved each other dearly. Lizzetta is much loved and will be truly missed by many. Lizzetta was preceded in death by her daughters: Donna Jones and Linda Latham; her son, Norman Roberts, Sr.; grandson, Steve Bell, Sr.; four sisters and eight brothers. Lizzetta leaves to cherish her memories, two loving and dedicated children: daughter and son-in-love, Christine and Carl Chatman; and son, Willie Jackson; 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; one loving brother, Aaron Boyd, Sr. (Willie Mae); sisters-in-law: Mary Lou Boyd and Artimease Boyd; son-in-law: Mack Jones III; a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
