In Loving Memory of Linda Ruth Franc November 11th, 1944 - March 9th, 2025 A Life of Generosity and Love Linda Ruth Franc lived a life defined by kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was a woman who gave generously of her time, love, and resources to those she cared about and the causes closest to her heart. Her gentle spirit and warm smile will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Linda was born on November 11th, 1944, in Rockville Center to Edgar Russell Howell and Ruth Mildred Wheeler. She grew up with a bright spirit that carried her through a life filled with love, dedication, and service to others. A proud graduate of Farmingdale High School, Class of 1962, Linda went on to work for Grumman for many years, where her diligence and warmth left a lasting impression. On October 7th, 1967, she married George Joseph Franc in Massapequa, NY and soon after, they moved to Medford, NY where they welcomed their beloved daughter Cynthia into the world. Linda was actively involved in Girl Scouts and her daughter Cynthia's school trips. Her passion for community involvement led her to become a successful real estate broker, where she also played a vital role in the Civic Association and Republican Club. In 2003, Linda moved to Florida and continued her dedication to helping others through her work at Children's Home Society. She poured her generous heart into everything she did, leaving a lasting impact on those around her. Linda found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, making arts and crafts, working on jigsaw puzzles, and creating special projects with her two granddaughters, Laura and Samantha. She enjoyed having lunch with her friends and traveling to the West Coast. A devoted Lutheran, Linda loved reading and studying the Bible, drawing strength and inspiration from her faith. She had a deep love for animals and donated generously to wildlife organizations throughout her life. And when it came to treats, Linda was always ready to enjoy cake and ice cream, paired perfectly with her beloved coffee. The beach, however, remained her favorite place, where she felt most at peace. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia, her son-in-law Craig, her granddaughters Laura and Samantha, her brother Frank and his wife Nancy, and their daughter Alyssa. Linda's generous spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
