Obituary of Joshua StacyJoshua Joseph Stacy, 19 of Silver Springs, Florida passed away on Sunday April 29, 2007.Born on Tuesday, May 5, 1987 in Norway, Maine to Carroll and Jody (Stiles) Stacy.At nine months of age the family moved to Marion County, Florida, where Josh had lived all of his life. He is survived by his parents, Jody and Carroll Stacy of Silver Springs, Florida, his sister, Rachel Stacy an aunt and uncle of Ft. McCoy, Florida and his extended family who live out of the state of Florida. Josh attended Ft. McCoy school, Lake Weir High School and was in the process of completing his second year at Southeastern University in Lakeland,Florida. He was majoring in church music and youth ministry. His heart was to use the gift of music God gave him for the glory of God, wether it was at a church, a homeless church, or on the street corner. He had a passion for Jesus and his one goal was to be a servant of God. While he attended Southeastern he would come home on the weekends and lead the music for the youth group of our church, New Harvest Church of God, on Sunday nights. Just recently he started also working in a part-time capacity as the youth leader to eventually become the full time leader. Josh was also a member of the praise and worship band "Tirzah", which recently palyed at Southeastern chapel. Whenever any band needed a musician, Josh would always be willing to help out. He was a gentle and very humble soul. He had the God given ability to play many instruments including, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, the drums, the keyboard, the trombone, and just recently Jody learned he knew how to play the violin. From a once very shy child he had blossomed into a vibrant spirit-filled young man on fire for God. As a child he played baseball and soccer, but it became very evident that this kid had more of a heart toward music and the arts. He started his first guitar lessons when he was about 8 or 9 years old. There is no doubt that Josh was a very special gift of God and there is no doubt also that he is continuing his singing and music now in the very presence of the Almighty, clapping his hands and worshipping with all of his heart. Aside from his music, Josh loved animals and had a wonderful sense of humor. He also had a very serious side, and he cared very deeply for all of the friends he made. I don't know anyone who was an enemy or didn't like Josh. I know there is more that could be said, but the bottom line is that Josh was a man after God's own heart.
