Douglas Bausch Lewis

Doug was born on February 26, 1950 in Rochester, New York. He passed into his eternal life on February 4, 2023 after a 4-month battle with Pancreatic cancer. Doug was raised in Rochester, NY. He attended Hobart College earning his bachelor's degree in 1972 and extended his education by earning an MBA from Syracuse University in 1974. He spent his life working in Marketing, Sales and Training for numerous media companies across the U.S. He was also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Phoenix, teaching Economics, Marketing and Critical Thinking. Doug was a very witty, smart, fun guy to be around. Those who knew him loved his kind heart and wicked sense of humor. For those who really knew him, learned to never ask him a question about the stock market, budgeting or politics, as he knew no short answers and you would trap yourself into a long dissertation on whatever subject was being discussed. Doug was very athletic and loved all sports, but his passion was golf. He never turned down an invitation to play, no matter where he was, and if he wasn't playing he was probably watching it on TV. He achieved many holes-in-ones throughout the years. In retirement, Doug and his wife Kathy transitioned to full time RV living, traveling the country and spending time with family and friends. Most of all Doug loved his family and friends wholeheartedly and was always available to help when needed. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Charles Lewis, his father-in-law John Juntti, and his step-son T.J. Baker. Doug is survived by his loving wife Kathy Baker-Lewis, his daughters Janna (Steven) Connolly, Abby (Adam) Antczak, and their mother Judy Lewis. Grandchildren A.J., Sophia, Jackson and Cole. Siblings: Pam (Jack) Hineline, Doug's twin Crawford Lewis, Mark (Elizabeth) Lewis, and Kim (Eddie) Lewis-James, mother-in-law Liz Juntti, brother-in-law Steve (Vicki) Juntti, numerous nieces and nephews, his beloved fur babies Roxie and Nessy and a wealth of loving friends. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him. No services are planned at this time. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or Marion County Hospice.
