Born on May 18, 1960, in Orange, California, to Cornelius and Aleda (Axmear) Rouw, Colleen grew up to be a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her. She spent her final years residing in Bushnell. Colleen's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a devoted “help-meet” to her husband of 49 years, Craig Winters, and a nurturing mother to her children, Jacob Winters (deceased) and Leviticus Winters. Her bond with her dearest friend, Julie Winters, ran deep. She also loved her surviving brothers very much. Though she was predeceased by her parents, a brother, and her beloved son Jacob, the love and memories they shared continue to resonate with those who were part of her life. Her memory will be cherished by a host of other relatives and friends. Colleen's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she and her husband Craig embarked on various business ventures together. They managed a small farm, an eBay retail business, an insulation company, and a vending business, showcasing their versatility and teamwork. Colleen's role as a homemaker was equally important, and she spent six dedicated years working at Walmart up until her passing. Her support for her husband's endeavors was unwavering, and she was always his steadfast supporter. Her passions extended beyond her professional life. Colleen was an avid scuba diver and a lover of travel, exploring the world and savoring the wonders it had to offer. Her caring nature was not only evident in the way she looked after her husband but also in her interactions with everyone she met. Described by her husband, Craig says she was nurturing yet assertive, Colleen was known for her unique ability to hold her ground in the most wonderful of ways. She never met a stranger, and her warm presence meant that people were naturally drawn to her. The words loving, selfless, and thoughtful encapsulate Colleen's essence. She lived her life with a generosity of spirit that touched the hearts of many. Her legacy is one of love and service, and the memories she created will be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
