Cathy Regina Farmer

Cathy Regina Farmer, affectionately known as Cat, was born on October 3, 1963, in Ocala, Florida, and passed away on April 29, 2026, in the same city she called home throughout her life. Cat was the beloved daughter of the late Willie James Mallard and Annie Lee Richardson Mallard. She was raised in Ocala and attended Forest High School, graduating with the Class of 1981. Those who knew her will remember that she carried herself with a spirit that was both funny and kind, and she made a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of crossing her path. Cat worked mainly in housekeeping and as a home health aide, where her caring nature and willingness to help others were evident in all she did. Her work reflected the same compassion and dedication that she showed in her personal life. She was the type of person who could bring comfort, laughter, and honesty into any room, and she was never afraid to speak her mind. Her loved ones knew that her “talking trash” was often delivered with humor and love, and it became one of the many ways she kept those around her smiling. Cat enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and found joy in food, music, and dancing. She was a true foodie who appreciated a good meal. Music lifted her spirit, and dancing was one of the ways she expressed her happiness and energy. She visited several churches over the years and found comfort in worship and fellowship, although she was not a member of any one church. Her faith and appreciation for spiritual gatherings were part of the life she lived with sincerity and warmth. Cat leaves to cherish her memory her children, Tiffany Mallard, Ronnie Farmer, RonRico Farmer, and Daunte Pruitt, along with her 10 grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Mallard-Holliman (Steve), and Aretta Williams (Larry), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by two of her children, Antonio Farmer and Ketara Calvin, whose memories remained close to her heart. Their passing was a sorrow she carried, yet she continued to live with strength, love, and devotion to the family that remained around her. Cat’s presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be remembered for her humor, her kindness, her love of life, and the way she made ordinary moments feel special. Her legacy is one of family, laughter, and enduring love, and her spirit will continue to shine through the many lives she touched.
