Barbara Ann Kop

Barbara Ann Kop, age 64, of Ocala, Florida passed away on June 17th, 2025 with her Husband, Ed Kop and Daughter, Melissa Lyons by her side. She was born on January 27th, 1961 in Camden, New Jersey. She was a daughter of Frederick Victor and Barbara Ann Froelich. Barbara's journey led her to meet her husband, Ed Kop in 1980 while employed for Pass & Seymour/Legrand Corp. (Flexcor Division) in Yardville, New Jersey. She subsequently worked at a CVS Warehouse in Burlington, New Jersey until expecting her daughter Melissa. Following Melissa's birth, she relocated to Ocala, Florida. As Melissa began her schooling, Barbara embraced her passion for childcare, then eventually joined her Husband in managing his business, AMLC. Barbara found delight in walking along the beach, appreciating sunsets, and taking cruises with her devoted husband to discover lovely places filled with animals. She loved spending time with her family and her extended family. Barbara had an exceptionally kind and compassionate nature. She was well known for her generosity and willingness to help others. Over the past four years she fought Metastatic Mucosal Melanoma, undergoing surgeries, and immune therapy. Despite a promising Tumor-infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL) therapy, her immune system was unable to overcome subsequent infections. Barbara is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Melissa Lyons and son-in-law, Eric Lyons along with her soul mate of more than 45 years, Ed Kop. They recently marked their 29th wedding anniversary and were looking forward to a cruise to Alaska for their 30th, accompanied by their dear friend Jennifer, their daughter and son-in-law. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Ann Cizmar, her sisters, Deborah Shultz and Janet Moscarello, her brothers, Kenneth Froelich and David Froelich, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. She is preceded in death by her father Frederick Victor Froelich, brother Frederick Victor Froelich Jr, and sister Diane Froelich. Her absence will be deeply felt and she will be fondly remembered for her loving kindness as she was cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A Memorial Service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel, 6241 SW State Road 200, Ocala, FL 34476, on July 26th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. It will also be live streamed on Facebook for those who are unable to attend the service. Roberts of Ocala West Chapel has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements
