Aurelia Scott Davis

Aurelia Scott Davis, 86 of Ocala, Florida passed away after battling dementia on January 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Aurelia was born on March 16, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to Walter Ross and Geneveve (Sparks) Scott, Jr.. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Memphis Tennessee and went on to marry her sweetheart Charles Davis in 1954 in Walls, Mississippi. Charles would say “She was my beautiful wife and Best Friend for sixty-nine years”. She was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in Silver Springs, Florida. She is lovingly remembered by her children as a “Mom” with a kind personality and one that gave generously of her time, including the American Red Cross where she taught children to swim safely, she volunteered at the elementary schools where her children and grandchildren attended, she even drove a school bus. She enjoyed photography and caring for a big variety of pets over the years, for over fifteen years, she loved to travel with her husband throughout the south in their camper. Her Life’s Work was being a homemaker, a devoted wife and a loving mother of six children who argued constantly but Loved Always. Aureli leaves behind her beloved husband of 69 years, Charles F. Davis of Ocala, six children, Mark Alan Davis and his wife Debra of Pembroke Pines, Florida, Sherry Lynn Oliveri of Greenville, Texas, Deborah Ann Johnson of Princeton, West Virginia, Delbert Scott Davis of Hollywood, Florida, Matthew Dean Davis and his wife Cristina of Pembroke Pines, and Kathleen Marie Davis of Ocala, by a brother, Ross Scott of Pollock, Louisiana, by seventeen grandchildren, James, Stephanie, Christopher, Charles, Kimberly, Daniel, Aimee, Stephen, Shawn, Erin, Rachel, Nicole, Calista, Lucas, Aurelia, Chloe, and Sophie, as well as twelve great-grandchildren, Griffin, Alice, Madelyn, Ethan, Alex, Ethan, Carson, Wesley, Alexander, Evangeline, Colton, and Grayson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22nd at 12:00 pm at Roberts of Ocala Funeral Home; 606 SW 2nd Avenue Ocala. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.
