Audra Antoinette Anderson

Audra A. Anderson was born on April 28, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois, to the loving union of Noel O. Anderson and Avril A. Anderson. The youngest of three children, she followed her brothers, Andrew and Garth. From the moment she arrived, Audra brought joy to her family. Her parents worked tirelessly to provide her with a life full of love, opportunity, and care. Audra began her education at a St. Mary’s Catholic Elementary School, in Park Forest, IL.before attending Providence Catholic High School. After graduating, she continued her studies at Prairie State College, earning a degree in English. She later attended Robert Morris University in Chicago, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology, graduating with the Class of 1996. Summers were often spent in Jamaica with her Aunt Claudette and many cousins, where she created cherished memories alongside her brothers that would last a lifetime. On April 13, 1993, Audra began a new chapter in her life with the birth of her only child, Alicia Patrice Anderson, in Chicago, Illinois. With the loving support of her parents, Audra raised Alicia with strength, compassion, and devotion. In 2000, Audra relocated with her parents to Ocala, Florida, where she would spend the remainder of her life. In Ocala, she continued to pour her heart into both work and family. A dedicated member of Meadow Brook Church, she was also known for her strong work ethic—often holding multiple jobs—and for her gift of bringing joy to others, especially when planning celebrations for her loved ones. Her infectious laughter could light up any room, and her vibrant spirit left a lasting impression wherever she went. Audra’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her deeply. She leaves behind her beloved mother, Avril A. Anderson; her brothers, Michael Anderson and Garth Anderson; her sister-in-law, Ivelisse; her cherished daughter, Alicia Lunsford; son-in-law, Jason Lunsford; and grandchildren, Aaliyah and Adrien Lunsford. She is also survived by her aunts Claudette, Jean, Paula, and Patricia, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Audra was preceded in death by her father, Noel O. Anderson, and her brother Andrew. Her love, laughter, and legacy will be missed beyond measure—but remembered always.
