Arlene Kelly Robles

Arlene Kelly Robles was born in a small wood house at 308 West 2nd Street in Ocala one block off of 441 (West) latterly 3-4 mile from where Tim & amp; Arlene currently live in Ocala FL. Today it’s the parking garage for the Marion County Court House. Arlene’s father was Hubert Wilson Kelly and Arlene’s mom, Pauline Ida Guess Kelly. Arlene was the youngest of six children Huey Kelly, Wanda Hittel, Bonnie Kelly, Gracie Kelly Forbes and an older step sister named Lorretta Ford who was from Emporia, Florida. Arlene’s father Hubert was a World War II Veteran and a Korean War Veteran who served his country in the Army and received the Purple Heart. Arlene’s father Hubert Kelly work as a butcher in the industrial area of Ocala. Unfortunately, due to his war injuries and lack of fully understanding Post Traumatic War Syndrome during this period in America, the Kelly family was subject to an acholic abusive father. This was a trying and difficult time for Arlene’s mom, Pauline and all the children. This was the time Gracie and Arlene were placed into the care of Uncle Bill and Aunt Mickey and their 1st cousins, Janice, Nancy and Evelynn in Orlando Florida. Gracie and Arlene were between 8 & amp; 9 years old. This was extraordinarily difficult for Arlene and Gracie, However, the Lord in his abundant love and wisdom placed Gracie and Arlene with an Aunte and Uncle who where active in the First Baptist Church of Orlando. It was during that time residing with Aunt Mickey and Uncle Bill that Arlene and Gracie gave their lives to Christ Jesus and were “Saved” and baptized. Gracie and Arlene were then presented to the Church and sang the Song : “ I Come to the Garden Alone” Arlene and her sister Gracie moved back with their mother, Pauline when they were entering High School at Lake Weir High School in Marion County. While visiting here sister Bonnie and Brother-in-Law Karl, Arlene met Tommy Rumbley a newly discharged Vietnam Veteran. Arlene and Tommy were Married in December of 1969 . Tracie was born in September of 1970 and Lisa was born in January of 1973. Arlene divorced Tommy in 1988 and remained A single mom raising their two daughters. Arlene remained single for almost 13 years . Tim and Arlene met on July 10th 1995 and were good friends for (5) years and more. The friendship and respect became key components In how God would shape there marriage in the future. Tim & amp; Arlene married on June 1st 2001 in Sanford Florida at the Sanford Landing Apartments, Lou Robles Tims father was his Best Man) Ritchard Hittel Arlene’s Brother In Law walked Arlene down the aisle. Arlene and Tim saved and scratched every nickel and re-cycled cans to put ($500.00) down on a lot in Bethal estates. Arlene was an excellent Stewart of how to manage money. Dave Ramsey would have been proud, Arlene was the bookkeeper for the Fairway Super Market in the 1970’s and 1980’s , A skill Arlene took serious and brought into her marriage with Tim. In July of 2002 Tim and Arlene moved into a brand-new house on Lake Bathel, A dream both worked hard at with Gods Blessings Arlene had the house paid off in 11-1/2 years, Arlene was a blessed with Gods wisdom for managing money. But something was still missing in their marriage, Both Tim and Arlene said while going to Publix we need to seek Jesus’s will not ours weekly in a Church, we both had a hunger for Christ, we needed to make things right. Jesus led us to Barrnett United Methods Church; we knew the 1st Sunday this was going to be our Church Home. Tim grew up and was saved in a Methodist church the summer of 1976 & Arlene grew up Baptist and was saved in 1962 @ The 1st Baptist Church of Orlando. Pastor James and Lari Beckley were Baptist and Pastor James Beckley attended the same seminary school in Texas as Doctor Charles Stanely. Tim and Arlene attended Barrnett United Methodist Church until 2019, God had plans for the Robles, Plans to prosper, plans to do good, As stated in Jerimia 29. The plans also included a commitment to read and pray together as a couple daily. Never before had Tim and Arlene’s quite time and Bible study take on a clearer and specific meaning then when Arlene was diagnosed with Lymphoma that same year, she moved to Ocala to build their next home. But Jesus never fails, Tim and Arlene started attending Meadow Brook church under the leadership of Pastor Tim Gilligan & Alicia Gilligan. For the first few years in the new house Arlene hosted weekly Bible study with dear Christian friends, Dante and Diane Dugan, Tony and Emily and Miguel Tanzola. The weekly Bible Studies became Arlene’s strength and understood what God had instore for her and Tims future. Arlene had a peace within the verse Isiah 53: 5-7 “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” Arlene ended every daily prayer with claiming this scripture. It was such a strong testimony to our family to see Arlene’s courage under fire. Daughters, Tracie, Lisa & Peggy. Grandkids, Amanda, Dylan, Lindsey, Cody & Piper. Great Grandkids Wyatt, Maggie, Jackson, Kayden & Alli. Spouses, Mike, David, Will, Brittany, Haley & Chris. Loving and extremely Close Sisters Wanda & Gracie as well as relatives and friends within the Robles and Kelly Family. Arlene never asked Why me Lord? Arlene never was discouraged or angry about the last 5 and -1/2 years. Arlene was upbeat and happy at every single visit to the Oncology Doctor. Arlene saw the complete healing at 3:45 a.m. on New Years Day. Jesus took Arelen into Paradise ; Arlene was “Absent from the body, present with the Lord” 2 Corinthians 5:8
