Andrew Raymond Willcox, age 15, of Ocala, Florida, passed from this life on June 5, 2025. Born on April 26, 2010, in Leesburg, Florida to Laurie and Dan Willcox, Andrew was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. Andrew was truly a gentle giant—tall in stature, but even bigger in heart. Quiet by nature, he carried a deep kindness that made everyone around him feel safe, seen, and accepted. Though soft-spoken, he had a playful spirit and a razor-sharp sense of humor. If Andrew liked you, you'd know it—because his best jokes and warmest smiles were always saved for the people he loved most. He was a student at Meadowbrook Academy, where he continued to grow into the thoughtful, kind young man his family and friends cherished. He admired his big brother deeply and wanted to be just like him. Recently, Andrew had just earned his learner’s permit, a milestone that brought him joy and a sense of speed. He was excited about the future and all the adventures that came with growing up. Andrew’s faith and family were the heart of his world. As a cherished member of Meadowbrook Church, he built meaningful connections with pastors and friends who supported and inspired him. Equally important to Andrew were his mom, dad, and brother—his best friends and greatest sources of love and strength. The close bond they shared brought him comfort and joy throughout his life. He adored video games, loved good food (especially eating it), exotic sports cars and had a sense of humor that could fill a room with laughter once you got him going. He was known for his kindness, his quiet but hilarious personality, and the way he made everyone around him feel special. Andrew’s presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His gentle soul, quick wit, and quiet strength will be remembered always. He made people laugh, made them feel loved, and in doing so, made the world around him a little softer. He is survived by his loving parents, Laurie and Dan Willcox, his beloved brother Grandin, and many friends and family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robert's of Ocala- East Chapel, 2739 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, Florida 34471. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 starting at 10:30 AM at Meadowbrook Church, 4741 SW 20th Street, Ocala, Florida 34474. In true Andrew fashion, we invite you to come as he’d want you to—comfortable and casual. Wear your shorts and Crocs in his honor. He’d absolutely love that.
