Ruth Ellen King

Ruth Ellen King, Ocala, FL, aged 90 passed away on March 21, 2018. Ruth, who was born on May 1, 1927 in Ithaca, New York to the late Howard and Susan Bruster of Ithaca, graduated in 1945 from Ithaca High School and married her husband, George Albert King,the same year. After World War II, she worked as a secretary to help put George through Cornell. She was an accomplished artist whose numerous oil paintings, water colors, and sketches still adorn the walls of many family members and friends homes. Her lovely sense of humor and strong Christian faith sustained her right up to the end. She had four daughters of whom she was most proud. Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Mrs. Faith Faulisi (wife of Ronnie Faulisi), her husband of 69 years, George King, and her sister Virginia Eaton. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Rebecca Meyers (and her husband, Clyde) of Danville, Kentucky; brother, Howard Bruster of Cameron, California; daughter, Mrs. Kathy Fedell (and her husband, Bob) of Orlando, FL; daughter, Ms. Bonnie Hughey of Hollywood, FL; daughter Mrs. Laurie Mitchell (and her husband, Angelo) of Escondido, California; eight grandchildren:Mrs. Clover Ryan (and her husband, Ken) of Hollywood, FL; Mrs. Melonie Caldwell (and her husband Dan) of San Marcos, TX; Mrs. Sommer McDonald (and her husband Dennis) of Melbourne, FL ; Mrs. Amy Teumer (and her husband, Chris) of Orlando, FL; Ms. Jamie Ritter of Cedar City, Utah; Hunter Faulisi of Melbourne, FL; Ms. Christine Mitchell of Escondido, California; and Mrs. Katie Garner (and her husband, Chappy) of Charlotte, NC. Ruth is also survived by three great grandchildren: Oliver McDonald (5), Melbourne, FL; Norah Teumer (17 months), Orlando, FL; and Waylen Garner (14 months), Charlotte, NC. Arrangements are being made for a joint interment with husband, George, in a National Cemetery sometime in the future.
