Richard John Hauck

Richard J. Hauck was born on January 7, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Richard passed away at the age of 77 on November 16, 2018 in Ocala, Florida. Richard led a life of service that began in 1959 when he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1965. After serving in the Marine Corps, he worked for the City of Cincinnati Fire Department as a Firefighter, Engineer, and Safety Inspector from 1968 to 1993. During this time, he also advocated for employees as treasurer of the Cincinnati Firefighters Union and was also a representative of the Ohio Police and Fire Union. Even in retirement from many years of service, Richard continued helping others as he volunteered for Marine Corps League Detachment 61 in Ocala, Florida. During his downtime, Richard loved watching his Cincinnati sports teams and spent countless hours enjoying his family. Richard is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Tracy, brother Robert, two grandchildren Danny and Randy, and two great-grandchildren Aubrey and Aly. Preceded in death by his brother Roger.
