Michael E Namack
May 27, 1968 - August 4, 2021
Michael Edmund Namack was 53 years old at the time of his death. He was born on May 27, 1968 to Kathleen Jayne Burns at Tampa General Hospital. Due to unfortunate circumstances, Michael was put up for adoption. William H. and Mary Ann Namack performed the honors of adopting Michael. Michael was the oldest of 3 children. His sister Elizabeth Namack is 11 months younger than him and Steven Namack is 8 years younger. His father told him as a joke that when Mary Ann became pregnant with Elizabeth, if he had the receipt he would have returned him. According to Michael, he grew up in the Namack household with no regrets or complaints. As a teenager, Michael tinkered with race cars. His 1st car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger. He surfed at the beaches, was on the wrestling team at Bayshore Highschool, played football and softball, and worked at restaurants. After highschool, Michael served in the Coast Guard from 1987-1989. After the Coast Guard, Michael was a tow truck driver, a local truck driver hauling bread or batteries, and he was a fuel truck driver. When he finally got to meet his biological mother in December of 2011, the first thing out of his mouth to Kathleen was "Thank You". He explained to Kathleen that he had a wonderful childhood and that he had a mother and father. Michael gained a 1/2 brother named Todd and an Aunt named Paula who indeed Michael went to school with at Anna Maria Elementary and he did not even know it. Kathleen explained to Michael that she never wanted to give him up but due to her age (17) and circumstances at home, she could not have kept him. Kathleen often thought of Michael and wanted to look for him but did not want to intrude on his life. She always felt that one day Michael would find her. Kathleen did mention that she named him Shawn Michael Burns when he was born. How ironic that Michael somehow happened to be his name in the end. Michael was with Kathleen by her bedside when she passed away in December 2016. Michael got 5 good years with Kathleen. Michael was a lover of life and his family. Michael always wanted the family around whether it was for dinners, holidays, trips, or boating. He had a love for the water, sunrises, and especially boating. He loved to go on cruises and eat all the ice cream that he could. He loved his Mopars. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle when he had it. He was an avid gun shooter. Michael had an ATV that he raced for years until an injury caused him to give it up. He loved his animals. His 1st was "Goldie", then "Bruno", then "Milo" and then "Mila". He also was fond of the 2 geese that he had and "Sassy" the guinea pig. Michael was involved with wrestling as a coach at the Villages highschool when his step-son Cody Hartnagel attended. Michael was very Patriotic and loved the Coast Guard. He loved to cook his famous ribs or smoke up some kind of meat in the smoker to share with anyone that wanted a taste. Michael was a loyal and dedicated Pike's Electric employee for the last 18 years. He was always there and did whatever the company asked of him. He loved his sports. His teams were the Florida State Seminoles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Michael had his first child Jenna Lynn Namack on January 28, 1992. He was a single dad for 4 years. Michael had 2 marriages. His first was to Dawn Pearo (Whipps) on January 6, 1996. The second was to Julie Quiles on August 19, 2003. Out of these marriages. Michael conceived Michael H Namack on July 31, 1996 and Marissa Jade Namack on March 14, 2005. Michael always wanted to be married. Michael was able to enjoy the beginning of his life with Dawn and the end with Julie. Michael was proud and boastful of all his children. Michael always stated that he had 4 kids. Even though he did not conceive Cody, he included him as his own. Currently, Jenna Namack is a homemaker. Michael Namack is serving in the National Guard and business owner. Cody Hartnagel works for Duke Energy. Marissa Namack is a junior in the Villages Highschool. Michael especially loved his grandchildren. He was in the delivery room when Jalynn and Jasper Namack were born. Michael was on a Facetime call when Nova Namack was born. Michael was proud of the legacy that was following behind him through his children and grandchildren. Some mottos that Michael lived by were: 1) If you want it, work for it. 2) Always stay Positive. 3) When an issue arises, put it in God's hands and he will provide. Michael was known to take others under his wing where he offered his encouragement, opinions, work ethic, crazy, and funny conversations. He always enjoyed a good laugh sometimes at his expense and offered a listening ear. One coworker wrote "Mike was the 1st person @ Pike's who believed in me. Told me if I committed to the job, I could end up making good money. We grew to be great friends. It was because of people like him that I am who I am today. I will miss him dearly and hope we can all do well to be the happy personality he always was." Another coworker informed Marissa that he enjoyed seeing the videos that Mike took of her singing weekly and he was going to miss this. Another stated "I loved your husband. He has always been an amazing man to me". Another stated "I know how much he loved all of you...but you...You were his queen and Marissa his princess. I can't believe I'm not going to see that smiling face sitting at my counter again jabbering away." Another stated "I've worked with that man many days in the past 4 1/2 years I've been with Pike's and there was not a day he did not mention his love for you and how proud he was of his baby girl! He loved you guys so much and talked about you all the time. He used to tell people out in the field that I was his work daughter, he always had my back and I am so thankful for that." Another stated "A loving husband, a very proud daddy and grandpa, an all around amazing person. Your smile and heart of gold will be sorely missed." Another stated "He was such a special person. We always ended up talking about you and the kids. He was so proud of being on the lake and spending time with you all on the boat. He will be greatly missed!" Another stated "You were his anchor and soulmate for which we are thankful." Another stated " You'll both have the most devoted guardian angel in heaven forever." Michael started to go to church when he was married to Julie. He attended full time at Marion Oaks Assembly of God. He got involved with the media team and worship team. He loved going to Thursday night worship practice to help with the sound and take all the videos he could of Marissa singing. He absolutely enjoyed working with the new sound board that the church received. Michael became a born again Christian and was baptized. Michael Edmund Namack died August 4, 2021 due to having COVID/Pneumonia/Complications to his heart. Michael will be missed and loved by all. Michael is in Heaven watching over all of us now. He is probably getting a good laugh seeing his ex wife and current wife create another story of Michael's greatest endeavors.
