Barbara Joyce Young Klingler

September 5, 1943 - April 12, 2022

Barbara Joyce Young Klingler, born September 5, 1943, was greeted in Heaven by her loving parents Harvey Parks and Martha Wynette Young on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. She was surrounded by her family as her journey to her heavenly home took place. In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her Mother and Father in law, Eugene and Ola Klingler, Sister in law, Phyllis Klingler and her most beloved Schipperke Dog, Bear. She is survived by her husband, Carlos Walter “Bub” Klingler and her constant companion, Jordy the cat; her sister: Sandra Jean Brown and Robert and her brother William Harvey Young and Brenda. She is also survived by her children: Cynthia Dawn Paynter and Jim, William Kirk Klingler and Beth Harkey, Sandra Denise Hall and Tom, Carla Ann Rose and Alan and Lisa Klingler; and her grandchildren: Cameron Brown and Emily, Jonathan Brown, Katlyn Rose Cieslikowski and Josh, Raymond Hall, Allison Hall, Charlie Klingler and Will Klingler. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews. Joyce was overjoyed when she recently learned that she would become a great grandmother later this year. Joyce was a breast cancer survivor for 20+ years. She adored animals of all shapes and sizes. She dedicated many years as a teacher at Lake Christian School and First Baptist Church Day Care in Leesburg and retired as the Day Care Director at Children’s Country Club. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Summerfield. Joyce spent much of her adult life traveling with Bub to the races and was awarded the “Stand by Your Man” Award by the Old Drag Racer’s Reunion in 2015 for her unwavering dedication. One of her fondest memories with Bub was waking up early and driving to the east coast to see the sunrise and then driving to the west coast of Florida to watch it set. She also made many trips over the years across Florida and to NC to support her grandchildren’s activities. And when you see a cardinal, know that Joyce stopped by to say “hi” and to let you know that Heaven is just like she imagined.
