William Anthony Kroslack

1942 ~ 2019 (age 77)

William Anthony Kroslack, age 77, of Citra, passed away at West Marion County Hospital on December 26th, 2019. William was born in Hammond, IN on November 24th, 1942.

William did not speak much about his childhood, but we know that it was a difficult upbringing growing up outside of Chicago, IL. He spent much of the first half of his life as a survivor, mostly making his own way on the streets.

William decided to dedicate the second half of his life in service to others. Referencing the trials and tribulations he faced in his own life, he was able to reform himself and bring his experiences to others seeking reform in their lives. We cannot count the number of people who would attest that William’s guidance had saved them mentally, physically, and spiritually.

William loved to travel. He and his girlfriend of many years, Marcha, took numerous road trips to places such as Sturgis, SD, Nova Scotia, and all across the United States via RV. He spent some time living at a Shaolin temple in China, where he found a tremendous sense of spirituality and peace.

Throughout his life, William held numerous interesting jobs, including driving taxis, repossessing cars, bounty hunting, and even acting in a few minor roles in low budget movies. William’s passions were motorcycles, vintage automobiles, travel, movies (most notably Blade Runner), and the animals he kept and loved emphatically.

William is survived by his live-in girlfriend, Marcha Berding, and her son, Chris Berding, and granddaughter, Ardra Berding. Memorial services have not yet been determined. There are two charities he spoke highly of and to which we believe he would like to have donations placed in his memory. These are the Wounded Warrior Project and the Lucky Fin Project.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 18, at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Fort McCoy, 11350 E. Hwy 316, Fort McCoy, Florida 352-236-2543
