Ruthie Fleck, 82, of Ocala, Florida passed away on February 10th 2018. Ruthie was born on May 22nd 1935 to Herman & Elva Wentz in Barto, Pennsylvania. Ruthie was married to the love of her life, Richard, for 62 beautiful years until her passing.
Ruthie, a Boyertown High graduate, furthered her education by attending business school. She used those skills working for General Electric in Philadelphia. After moving to Ocala in 1979, Ruthie and Richard opened their restaurant “Super Burger”, where Ruthie cooked and managed. Ruthie then worked at Walmart for over 20 years and retired at the age of 72. The most rewarding accomplishment was rearing her two children and teaching them the importance of kindness, honesty, and love.
Throughout her life, Ruthie embraced the joys of caring for all of God’s creatures; taking in the wounded and forgotten. Ruthie had a pure and kind heart with a loving soul. She will be joining the Kingdom of God, met with open arms by her parents and her beloved niece, Maryann. Ruthie was surrounded by her family as she was transformed into a beautiful angel. She will be missed by all and forgotten by none.
Ruthie is survived by her loving husband, Richard; daughter Marianne, son-in-law Dan Alicea and grandson Christian; son Thomas Fleck and his fiancé Elijah Rooney; sister Doris J. Osman; nieces Debra Faflik and Susan Burkett, and also her beloved dog, Honey, and her beautiful horse, Chyna.
Visitation will be held on February 15th, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel. A celebration of Ruthie’s Life and will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, Feb 16th,2018 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave Bushnell, FL 33513. 1-352-793-7740.
