Oscar Rafael Leyte-Vidal

October 13, 1936 ~ February 16, 2018 (age 81)

Oscar Rafael Leyte-Vidal (81) entered into his eternal rest on Friday February 16th. Oscar was born October 13, 1936 to Joaquin and Noelia Leyte-Vidal in Cuba. He was very proud to have served 7 years in the United States Army. Oscar moved to the Ocala area in 1972 and has been a residence ever since. He was a licensed electrician and steam fitter by trade. In fact, Oscar taught electrical wiring and basic math at Vanguard High School for 28 years. He was also a licensed Goldsmith and Jeweler. In his free time Oscar enjoyed a nice round of Golf very much, holding a record of making 9 holes in one. Oscar was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church where he was a Knight of Columbus and an usher. Oscar is survived by his loving wife Josephine, his daughters Carlynne (Mark) and Kristin (Lynn). He will also be deeply missed by his five Grandchildren Elizabeth, Aaron, Sarah, Kayla, and Grant as well as his Seven Great-Grandchildren.
