Miami Fl – James Edward Walkling, Sr., known to friends as “Pop,” of Miami, FL, formerly of Westminster, MD and Ocala, FL, passed away on November 22, 2018, in Miami, FL, at the age of 74.
Born June 20, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Walkling was the son of late Willard and Florence (Wood) Walkling.
He lived in Westminster, MD, a great part of his life and attended Westminster High School. He served in the US Army, was an Independent Truck Driver, worked as a Diesel Mechanic, and a member of the Chosen Son’s Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed nature and loved fishing, hunting, and leatherwork.
Mr. Walkling is survived by his children: James Walkling Jr., (Tina), Dianna DeWitt (Donald), Kathy Lewis, Charnell Walkling, Yolanda Walkling (fiancé Ted), Jerry Virtz, and Richard Schultz; 15 Grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister: Paula Walkling; his lifelong friend: Allen Turnbaugh; and his dedicated friend and service dog: Jolly Rogers. He is preceded in death by his former wife: Ruth Walkling, a brother: Willard Jr., and a sister: Clara Emly.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
A committal service will be conducted at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 1:00 P.M.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard
