Ivey Carlisle, age 82, of Ocala died on February 24, 2018 at home. She was born on February 24, 1936 to Howard Collins and Grace Dixon in Jackson, OH. Ivey was a very hard worker and excelled at everything she did. She worked as a waitress for many years and later became a Life Insurance Agent where she rose to the top of her field. All the way into her 70’s she was still a hard worker, mowing grass and working on the farm. She was always known to be outspoken and let you know what was on her mind. Christmas was her favorite time of year, she loved to decorate.
Ivey was a very strict and disciplining mother and grandmother, but she was very loving and took care of her family very well. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughter Sandra, loved to shop and had Pekinese dogs, at one point having almost 100; and she loved each of them.
Ivey is survived by Daughter, Sandra T Javier(Juan), Brother, Charles Collins, Sister, Reva Proehl, Grandson, Jason Atkins(Liz), Grandson, John M Atkins(Lena), Grandson, Joshua Atkins(Kim Ray), Grandson, Justin Atkins(Tiara Langley), Grandson, Jeremy Atkins(Caitlin), and longtime Caregiver/Companion, Joe Walker.
